This is an excellent design and solid proposal. The facade for the new section is very nice, and I love the use of geometry. It is extremely well planned, and obvious you put a lot of thought into it from every angle. There are only two problems I can think of- one having to do with the space under the walkway- which I do enjoy the design and color use on the beams, but it's often difficult to prevent these spaces in public places from becoming 'dead zones', considering that it casts a very large shadow and would need lighting and something and perhaps more benches, also garbage recepticals, to prevent it from becoming a void.
The second problem is the sheet expense and scale of the project- abt to be problem for potential developers especially if they're counting on government funding. But who knows- sometimes you get an architecture fanatic on a city board who finds some extra cash in the coffers and approves an ambitious scheme- confident in the improvement it will bring to the area. And this would be sure to do so...
